Terms of service
Last updated October 4, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Freight Tech Works LLC (“we” and “us”) about FTW Suite, the set of freight calculators we run at app.freighttechworks.com. By signing in to FTW Suite or using it, you agree to them. If you use FTW Suite for a company or another organization, you agree to them for that organization too, and you confirm that you may do so. Our privacy policy says what we collect about you and what we do with it.
The short version
- FTW Suite is a business tool for adults: you must be 18 or older and using it for your work.
- During the beta, FTW Suite is free, its tools can change or stop working, and we can end the beta.
- The tools give estimates from what you type. Check anything you rely on: your quotes, your loads and how you follow the law are yours to decide.
- FTW Suite includes Google Maps content, and Google’s terms apply to it.
- What you type and save stays yours or your organization’s, and we use it only to run FTW Suite.
- Do not misuse FTW Suite, share your sign-in, or copy what it shows in bulk.
Who may use FTW Suite
FTW Suite is for businesses that move freight and the people who work for them. You must be at least 18 years old to use it, and you may use it only for your work, not for personal, family or household purposes.
Your account and your organization
You sign in through WorkOS, which runs our sign-in page. Keep your sign-in to yourself: each account is for one person. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and if you think someone else has used it, write to info@freighttechworks.com at once.
Every account works inside an organization. If you use FTW Suite on your own, we create one for you. An organization’s administrators can invite and remove members, set company defaults, and delete the work the organization has saved, and the organization is responsible for whom it lets in. If you are removed from an organization, your access to its tools and saved work ends. Which tools an organization can use depends on its plan, and during the beta we choose which tools each organization can use and may change them.
The beta
FTW Suite is in beta. During the beta it is free, and we offer no paid plans. Tools can change, gain or lose features, give wrong answers or stop working, and we may end the beta, or FTW Suite itself. We will tell you by email or in FTW Suite before the beta ends. Before we charge for anything, we will publish the price and the terms that apply to it, and nothing is charged unless your organization chooses a paid plan.
We welcome feedback at info@freighttechworks.com. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything for them.
What the results are
Each tool works out its answer from what you type and, for some tools, from the outside sources named below. Its answer is an estimate, for planning and pricing. It can be wrong, out of date or incomplete, and it is not legal, tax, safety or other professional advice. Each tool’s page says what it takes into account and what it leaves out. Check anything you rely on: you are responsible for the quotes you give, the loads you book, the carriers you use and how your trucks and drivers operate. In particular:
- Road miles come from Google and are for pricing, not for finding the way. Each result says whether it was routed for a truck, and even a truck route is not a guarantee that it is legal for your vehicle.
- The hours-of-service planners apply the federal driving rules they name and no others. They do not replace a driver’s logs, and the driver and the carrier remain responsible for staying within the rules.
- The tie-down calculator gives the minimum the federal cargo securement rules ask for, from the figures you enter. It does not inspect your equipment, and some cargo has rules of its own.
- The freight class calculator estimates a class from density. The class you are billed is set by the National Motor Freight Classification and your carrier, who may reclassify a shipment.
- Carrier safety lookups show the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s public record as it gives it to us, and we may show a record up to six hours after we fetched it. Showing a record is not our rating or recommendation of any carrier.
- The diesel price is the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s weekly average. Where a contract sets a fuel surcharge, the contract governs.
Do not use FTW Suite to navigate a vehicle, or as the only check of whether a route is legal for a truck, a load is secured, or a driver may drive.
Google Maps
FTW Suite includes Google Maps features and content: the road miles in its tools, and the location of some ZIP codes, come from the Google Maps Platform. Use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the then-current versions of the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
You may not scrape, bulk-download or export Google Maps content from FTW Suite, collect it to build a dataset of your own, or use it to train an AI model. If you break Google’s terms, we may suspend your use of the Google Maps features in FTW Suite, or your account.
Your information and your work
What you type into FTW Suite and the work you save remain yours, or your organization’s. You allow us to store, copy, process and show it only as we need to run FTW Suite for you and your organization, keep it secure and fix it, and as our privacy policy describes. Saved work and company defaults belong to your organization: everyone in it can open them, and they stay with it when you leave. An item of saved work can be deleted by whoever saved it or by an administrator.
Enter only information you have the right to use. FTW Suite does not save the answers its tools give, so keep your own record of any figure you need later.
What you may not do
You may not:
- use FTW Suite to break the law, or to help anyone else break it, including export control and sanctions laws;
- share your sign-in, or let anyone outside your organization use FTW Suite through your account;
- use bots, scrapers or scripts to use FTW Suite, or try to get around its daily limits;
- probe, test or get around its security, or try to reach another organization’s information;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile FTW Suite, or use it to build a competing product;
- sell, rent or sublicense access to FTW Suite; or
- interfere with FTW Suite or load it beyond ordinary use.
What is ours
FTW Suite, its software and design, and the Freight Tech Works name and logos belong to us or to those who license them to us. These terms let you use FTW Suite as they describe, and give you no other right in it.
Suspending and ending
You may stop using FTW Suite at any time. To close your account, write to info@freighttechworks.com. We may suspend or end your access, or your organization’s, if you break these terms, if we need to in order to protect FTW Suite or the people who use it, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first. When access ends, what we hold is kept or deleted as our privacy policy describes. The parts of these terms that by their nature should outlast your use of FTW Suite, such as those on what is ours, disclaimers, liability and disputes, continue to apply.
Disclaimers
FTW Suite is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that FTW Suite will always be available, free of errors or secure, or that its results will be accurate or complete.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, revenue, loads, data or goodwill, arising from or related to FTW Suite or these terms, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims arising from or related to FTW Suite or these terms is limited to the greater of what your organization paid us for FTW Suite in the 12 months before the claim arose and US$100. Some laws do not allow some of these limits, and where they do not, the limits apply as far as the law allows.
Claims against us over your use
If someone brings a claim against us arising from your use of FTW Suite in breach of these terms or the law, or from information you entered without the right to use it, you will cover the damages and reasonable costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that result.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its rules on conflicts of laws. Any dispute arising from or related to FTW Suite or these terms will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in FTW Suite before it takes effect. If you keep using FTW Suite after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms; if you do not accept them, stop using FTW Suite and write to us to close your account.
General
These terms, with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about FTW Suite. If your organization has signed a separate agreement with us for FTW Suite, that agreement governs where the two differ. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies, and if we do not enforce a part, we have not given it up. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else without our written agreement; we may transfer them as part of a sale or merger of the business. Neither of us is responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control. We may send you notices about FTW Suite and these terms by email to the address on your account, or in FTW Suite.
